Dispensing large quantities of medicine is meticulous work. You can leave nothing to chance. It’s important that we deliver exactly what the pharmacies ordered. “Though that may sound obvious,” explains Yteke Willems, pharmacist at SPITS, “but the quantities we work with, some 100,000 dosage bags a day, demands particular care. When it comes to medicine, you don’t, and can’t, want any mistakes.”

SPITS places great importance on obtaining insights into the quality of its work. The ZiuZ Inspector not only enables the company to check dosage bags, but also provides insights into the internal processes. The ZiuZ Inspector sends data on the bags to the ZiuZ Manager, the monitoring application, and those statistics are then used to see how the processes are running and make any necessary improvements.

“For instance,” says Yteke, “the ZiuZ Manager passes on data regarding the dispensing machines. It can happen that a certain medicine leads to numerous malfunctions. We can identify this and repair the relevant cassette before the rest of the process gets disrupted. We're continually working on improving the quality of our work, and hope to continue doing so in collaboration with ZiuZ!”
